Hangana South Africa is a subsidiary of Hangana Namibia, with offices situated in Cape Town, South Africa, since November 2015. The main function of the office in South Africa is to nurture, foster, build and strengthen existing customer relationships as well as expand our current customer base within the South African market. Daily functions include procuring product from South Africa for further processing in Namibia as well as selling our current quality basket of seafood products to our existing customer base which includes wholesalers, distributors and manufacturers.

South Africa is a key, strategic market for Hangana. Over the past few years, we have been able to expand our raw material base into sea-frozen, headed & gutted hake which is procured and sent to Walvis Bay for further processing into value-added hake products. Since the inception of the South African office, we have expanded our customer base into the restaurant sector of the South African market. We are now one of the preferred hake fillet suppliers of Ocean Basket, the biggest seafood restaurant group in South Africa.

The future is looking bright for Hangana in South Africa and in the coming years we plan to grow our customer and product base.
