Hangana is dedicated to responsible, ethical and sustainable fishing methods in Namibian waters. Equipped with electronic fishing gear such as Scanmar / Furuno / Marport, our vessels also employ the latest technology, namely Fondo bottom trawls, Uruque trawls and also EL Cazador trawl doors / Thyboron trawl doors. In addition to this, we also use an end mesh size of 110mm so that we make sure to avoid the premature catching of young fish.
We also recently implemented a vessel replacement system that enables us to acquire newer fishing vessels that operate more efficiently. Four of our vessels were converted to run on both IFO and ADO fuel, allowing us to reduce the impact of expensive fuel prices.
